The Association

The Association of Political Science Students (APSS) is a constituent course union of the Arts & Science Students' Union, and represents all students who are enrolled in or have taken a political science course at the University of Toronto.

The APSS coordinates multiple initiatives throughout the academic year, including academic seminars, career-related opportunities, and social events. We also organize an annual Mentorship program, pairing first- and second-year students with upper years to receive guidance and advice.

Each year, the APSS hosts the Political Science Undergraduate Research Conference and publishes POLIS: The Undergraduate Journal of Political Science to showcase the original works of political science students at the University of Toronto.

For more information about events, initiatives, and opportunities, please check out the respective sections of our website!

Lastly, the APSS serves as a resource for all political science students at the University of Toronto. Constituents are welcome to contact members of the Executive to inquire about political science-related opportunities, initiatives, courses, and events.

The Constitution

Like other course unions, the Association of Political Science Students acts in accordance with its Constitution.

The Constitution details rules, regulations, and practices concerning Executive positions, electoral policies, and the Association’s overall mandate.
